Supporting my musically-inclined friends
I don’t really know why I have many friends who are into music when I am not really into music that much. Well I guess I am here to support them with all their dreams on the career path they are taking. Most of them already made their own covers of different songs. I want to help them in my own way by giving them good software that are available at top logic studio that could help them enhance their covers.
Because she asked for help
Last night, I received a call from a friend of mine. I wasn’t really expecting any calls so I left my phone in the bedroom. After I watched television, I was surprised to see five missed calls from her. Out of curiosity, and though that it might be an emergency call, I called her back.
She was a little mad that I wasn’t able to answer her call, but my explanation fixed it all. She just would like to ask a small help from me. She said that her boyfriend’s relatives are going to visit at her house for Christmas. She has been busy preparing her home for that because she wants to make an impression. Everything’s almost okay when she realized one thing left – the carpet. It hasn’t been cleaned since she bought it few weeks ago. She doesn’t really know how to clean it.
Good thing, I know a rug cleaning service because of my cousin who had her carpets cleaned few months ago. I immediately referred her to that service center and I just let them have a conversation. She is really relieved after they talked about the details of the service. Finally, she can now breathe freely that her home is now ready to welcome the visitors she is expecting.
Series of Unexpected Events
Last Saturday, my friends and I attended an event at UP Diliman entitled BizCon 4: Ideaspace Roadshow. There were students from other schools too and unexpectedly, a lot of Thomasians were there and I know some of them.

The event started late so it also ended later than the 5pm they stated. It’s alright though because I learned a lot from the talk. But the most interesting part was the icebreaker game. Haha. I was really competitive because I wanted to have a free shirt but unluckily, I didn’t win in the game. But because I wanted to have a shirt so much, and shirts are given as incentives to those who will ask questions after the talk, I confidently went to the center, grabbed the microphone and asked. Whew, that’s all for the shirt! However, the shirt is too large for me so I might just give it to someone. :)

After that, we went to this famous Mang Larry’s Isawan at UP. It’s my first time to be there. I had isaw and balun-balunan. Nomnomnom. Yes, despite of the warning before of avoiding street foods because of what I experienced before, I still eat street foods. Haha.

Then we decided to have milk tea at Moonleaf Maginhawa because that’s just nearby. We also met a friend of ours, who I haven’t seen since she graduated last year!
And yes, I ordered a large Nata Milk Tea with pearl add-ons. Again, despite of the fact that there’s a big chance of having sore throat/tonsilitis after, I still drink milk tea. I’ll never learn my lessons. Haha.

The place is really comfortable and nice. Mind you, we stayed for about 3 hours in that Moonleaf shop. I really wanted to go back to dorm because it’s already 10:00 in the evening and I am actually scared to commute all the way from Quezon City at that hour but because of this friend who’s forcing us to stay, we stayed for a couple of minutes more. I could have stayed longer if only I live near the place, but not. Thankfully, I was able to go back to dorm safe and sound at around 11:00pm. Gosh.
Everything just happened so fast that I wasn’t able to document them well through pictures. I don’t even have ‘decent’ pictures with friends. Haha. Thanks to Instagram, I get to take pictures and upload them in an instant. :) We just planned to attend the seminar but look at how I spent my day. It’s really fun when you’re with your friends. You don’t notice how time flies so fast.
Peavy Amps
My cousin’s classmate is going to hold a beneficiary concert few weeks from now, together with his band mates. My cousin is very generous to help his classmate with this and so she kept on looking for peavey amps at Musician’s Friend which will be needed for the mini concert. As I would also want to give my participation, I also helped on looking for it. I do hope they will make a great concert because it will not only for their own but also for the beneficiaries.
Seafood, please?
My parents are both born and raised in a small town in the province of Bohol. They are used to the simple things you can find in the province. I have been there for a few times since I was a kid. My last visit there was last year and I actually like it there.
Aside from the fresh air and the nice views you can find in the province, what I like most in the province are the affordable commodities, one of which is seafood. You see, seafood in the city is rare to find so they are really expensive. We can only afford to buy seafood once in a blue moon, if there is an occasion.
If only I live in the province, I will have no problems at all, but I live in the city. How I wish seafood delivery can be made straight to our home, from the province so that it is still fresh. That would be less hassle for us, right? We just have to order and wait at our home until the seafood comes. If that happens, they would really bring smiles to our faces. My brothers and I really love seafood so much! We’re lucky that my parents raised us to like them, because I think some people don’t like seafood.
The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, forgetting that you are special too.

Shall I try audiobooks?
If you would back read my posts through the archive, you probably have noticed that I started back to reading books again. But there came a point when I lost my interest for the second time around. I wanted to read again but I am not encouraged enough. Maybe I am just busy with some stuff or just lazy at all. A friend of mine suggested I should go for audiobooks instead. I haven’t really tried this one, though I have tried ebooks before. So I told myself, I should probably give audiobook download a chance and let us see if I’ll gain interest with books again through this manner.
Life as a Student
Being a student requires you to become a healthy person. Stress will eventually come because of all the school work you need to do. Sometimes, I even skip meals if I had to just to finish a project with a deadly deadline. Students like me also experience sleepless nights. Because of all the pressure put on us, we often have Chronic headache and it is not really good for us. That is why we have to take vitamins and have a balanced meal.
Christmas in UST 2012
So there’s this poster being shared on Facebook about an event today at 6:00pm. There were many students gathered at Plaza Mayor waiting. Lucky as I am, our professor for my 5-6pm class wasn’t around so I also waited for the event because I am really curious about it.
Everyone expected that this is all about the Christmas lights in UST. Some, or probably most, expected that there will be a fireworks display and bands were coming, but there’s nothing. It’s just simply the opening of Christmas lights. Disappointed much?
I am not really good on taking photos at night. Thanks to my friend who guided me with the settings so I was able to come up with these pictures.

Honestly, I didn’t like the decors this year. I just hope Paskuhan 2012 and the pyromusical will be a success.
On Victorian Style
Just recently, I became interested on Victorian style designs because I am looking for some inspirations that could match the home improvement plan I am doing. Then while I was browsing the internet for some images, I suddenly thought of adding cast stone fountains at the garden.

I even found this fountain that I liked. I pictured it will look perfect on the Victorian theme I am thinking. It would give the home garden a refreshing and calming mood.
Pose Like a Jogger
Lame post title, I know. Forgive me. Hahaha.
So last night, while traveling back to Dasmariñas, Cavite, my friend thought of jogging. We have planned this so many times before but we always fail on making it happen because we’re all sleepyheads. But not this time. Haha.
I don’t know what motivated us, but we really woke up early and jogged! We spent around two hours jogging, with walking, of course. Haha.
Here are a few photos of us after jogging.

These photos are not post-processed in any way. Excuse our haggard looks. Haha. This new activity we did is way much different than the marathons we have joined. How I wish we could do this every week, and much better if the two other girls could join us. Well someday, I know we will. :)
Invasion
Yesterday, I originally planned to go home back to Cavite at 7:00pm together with my papa and my brother. I don’t know how I thought of it, but I suddenly asked two of my friends if they are available so we could go to the place of a friend of ours. Luckily, they are available that day so I decided to go home right after my class, informing my papa and my brother.
Right after I arrived, my friends were already waiting for me so I just placed my bag, combed my hair and put some face powder and went off to Silang, Cavite. And there we met again. I feel so happy whenever we see each other, especially if we’re complete.
As usual, we had a lot of chit-chats while eating anything that we found inside the fridge. Invasion, indeed! :) And here’s a photo overload!

P.S. This is my 200th post. :)
Everyone who reblogs will get their url written all prettily with a doodle based on your blog.

Since everyone seems to be doing something for the holidays, I thought why not, I’ll do something too. Ends December 14th. Happy holidays everyone! :)

Future Recording Artist
I have a friend who has a dream of becoming a record artist someday. She always spends her money for studio room rental just to use their high quality recording instruments. I totally support her with this dream of hers so I told her I am going to help her look for studio microphone at guitar center so she could start practicing with her own.
A Day for Myself
Today’s Andres Bonifacio day, a national holiday, so we have no classes. Unfortunately, there’s no long weekend for me because I have Saturday classes. Oh well, I’m used to that.
I wanted to go out and spend this day with my friends but they can’t so I had no choice but to have this day for myself. I thought a ‘me time’ will be good.
On my way to SM Manila, traffic is so heavy and I wondered why. Then somebody said a rally caused it. Because of that, I wasn’t able to catch the 1pm and 2pm showing of Breaking Dawn Part 2 and so I had to wait for an hour for the 3pm showing.
As I wait, I bought milk tea first since I haven’t tried Sip Milk Tea yet and I miss milk tea already.

Just look at how they misspelled my name. They even added the flavor after my name so it looks like my surname. Hey, new name it is.
Then after roaming around, I proceeded to watching Breaking Dawn Part 2. Alone. Yes, alone. It’s my first time to watch a movie alone and I swear, I won’t dare do it again.

I wasn’t affected by the movie that much because I felt that there were lacking scenes. I don’t know why. Well whatever. Right after getting out of the moviehouse, I heard some screams like there’s a show going on. As curious as I am, I went to the entertainment stage and there goes Kimpoy Feliciano’s album launch.

Because of the crowd, I wasn’t able to go near the stage but thanks to my camera’s zoom capability, that I was able to capture a few photos, though these two are the most decent of all. I am not a fan, I just took photos thinking that some of you would like to see how different he looks. Am I right? I think he looks different in person than in photos. I don’t know.
Well anyway, that’s all for today. I still have to review for tomorrow’s quiz and write a proposal for our project. Procrastinate now, Mei.
